Lube Quickie – Just in Case

On more than one occasion I've suggested using lubricant to women and received responses something like this; "Lubricant? Oh no, I don’t like lubricant." Or "I don’t need lubricant, I get wet enough no thank you." Whenever I hear this I immediately think that this women equates her femininity with her natural lubrication and believes that if she "needs" to use lubricant than she's somehow less than a woman. OR she has had a bad experience with one lube and has decided she hates them from that less than great episode.

Well, I'm here to help. I'm not suggesting that every woman falls into either of the two categories but most women do. I usually suggest my favorite lube to these women and explain how much better feeling protected sex is with lube and how lubricant makes safe sex even safer. I also mention that using lube is the empowered ultra-feminine thing to do and again stress how much better sex is with the right lubricant. Even if it's never happened to you before, being proactive and always having some lube on hand for the just in case moment is very feminine and responsible.

My Mothers normal routine is to read the ingredients on everything she buys at the grocery store. One day I noticed that she was reading the ingredients on something she buys all the time. I asked her why and she replied “Baby, they could have added something I don’t want. The only way to find out is to read.” I think that’s a bit obsessive but she does have a point. If you don’t read the ingredients how will you know what’s in it?

When we talk about lubricant we have to go a step further and not only read the ingredients but research them as well. Most people will have no clue what several of the above ingredients are. If you are unsure about an ingredient research it. Google has made that task extremely easy to do, try it out you’ll learn a lot and may be thankful that you did.

The Fetish Fantasy Elite Vibrating Strap-On Liner by Pipe dream has a great description so I decided to give it a try. I was intrigued by the idea of using it as discreet panty vibe. Well these were my first impressions when I opened the package. The silicone sleeve was nice and soft although my immediate thought was the vibrator would show through clothes when inserted into a panty because of it’s somewhat bulky design. Included in the package was a bottle of lubricant and a bottle of toy cleaner, that was great, it is always nice to know that you can clean your toy and and lube it up before you use it. There was also a blindfold in the package. As soon as I saw the blindfold I thought WHY?! Did the manufacturer think it would be sexy to put the liner in your panty and then blind fold your self before you played with it? Hummmm… And again Why?

So on to the vibrating bullet. After inserting the included batteries I turned on the whisper quiet vibe and was very impressed with the sound level. The bullet has several functions to choose from as promised with a nice rhythm and pulsation that vibrated so nicely in my hand I was excited to try it. Disappointingly when the panty liner was actually inside my panty and vibrating on my clitoris the pulsation felt more more like a flutter or tickle. It did feel good enough to turn me on, but was far from powerful enough to bring me to orgasm. I declare this toy a great teaser but definitely not a finisher. It has become a popular trend to buy sex related items for gifts. For the brave and the openly sexual, it’s not a big deal to give someone a vibrator or receive one as a gift. Lips come in all different shapes, sizes and colors, pale pink, hot pink, red, beige, etc. Some of us have big soft pillow lips, others have tiny thin lips, there are wet lips and even dry chapped lips. When I talk to someone I pay a lot of attention to the condition of their lips. I find myself thinking things like; He or She doesn’t drink enough water or Wow I bet his lips give the softest kisses ever.

Speaking of kissing; I absolutely LOVE to kiss. Kisses are so varied and have many purposes. A kiss can be a greeting, a turn on, a comfort or just for fun. A kiss can set you on fire with passion and heat or be questioning and seeking or soothing. Kissing is the only reason why we have lips! Okay seriously, kissing may be the main reason for lips in my book but I have to admit, it's not the only reason we have them. As much as I like to talk and eat I have to acknowledge that my lips come in handy for speaking and holding food in my mouth(extremely useful). They’re kinda cute too :-)

Now mustaches... hmmm what are they for? First of all men are the ones that should have the full grown varieties (even though weirdly that’s not the case all the time). But why, why does hair grow above the top lips of men? To prevent stuff from falling in their mouths? To make sure they don’t look like serial killers? To outline their lips perfectly? Who knows why men have mustaches? I don’t, but I do know that sometimes they can be an extremely scratchy irritant, taking away some of the kissing pleasure. No, this is not some type of odd chicken box. These are human body parts. So now that we're on the same page, take a minute to picture each of the body parts I just listed. Do words like Sexy, Sensual or Oh So Good come to mind? Not to most people, especially those that thought this post was going to be about chicken. So, if you fall in the most people category, let me enhance your Erogenous repertoire.

Erogenous zones are certain areas of the body that are especially sensitive to sexual stimulation. These areas are located all over the body. Lubrication is the key ingredient in “Good Safe Sex”. Of course sex can be fantastic without lube, but the benefits of using lubricant cannot be denied. Condoms have been known to rip from lots of fun friction if they are dry. The first thing I realized in opening the Her bottle of WET Together was a minty smell of peppermint. Upon on inspection, I found in the ingredients list that there was in fact peppermint extract. Ok, to the fun part. I took a small dab at first applying it to my lip to see how strong it truly was, as I am a little sensitive. I applied it to my lip to find that it slowly starts to cool and it did not feel like someone instantly sprayed freon on my lip. LOL I like products that slowly take effect and it does not shock the vagina. The next thing I noticed as it was applied to my lip, the cooling sensation lasted for a good while. I do not have an exact time, but I know it was well over 15 minutes.

I tried the WET Together by putting a small part on my clitoris and found that is has all the great qualities of many of the cooling enhancers that I currently sell. After trying it out with my spouse, I have to say I am impressed. I like it and I am selling it. The only request I have is, that they also would offer Hers to be sold by itself for the single ladies to enjoy without buying His.

If you visited the September 2009 ILS and Storerotica show, I would like to hear your opinion. Was it great or no different than past shows?

As a stay at home mom, I did not get to attend the show, with my chaotic schedule, tons bills & me going back to school. It's hard as a small business owner to juggle all of the home & work stuff,so I have to pick & choose what's important to do.

For those who went, did you see any new products that peaked your interest? Did meeting your representative with your distributor give you more confidence in them? Basically I want to hear your experience...so that us stuck at home biz owners can experience it too.
